School of Rehabilitation Sciences (SRS)

School of Rehabilitation Sciences runs under Delhi University. The College is situated at Hauz Khas at New Delhi. Mostly post graduate diploma courses are available for the candidates. The diploma courses were started with the aim to develop knowledge on developmental therapy and Special education on Rehabilitation sciences.

Courses offered are:

* Post Graduate Diploma in Special Education

* Post Graduate Diploma in Developmental Therapy

Admission Procedure:

Candidates have to apply to the respective departments in admission forms that are supplied at the center. The forms should have all the details about the candidate and his/ her marks in the last exam i.e. graduation. Based on merit the seats are filled up for the respective year. Reservation of seats is available for the SC, ST and OBC as per the norms of the University of Delhi.

Eligibility:

Both the courses are finished within a year and about 3 months of internship. Students have to appear for 2 semesters in this 1 year. After that they have to continue to the internship period.

The courses were developed with the aim to provide knowledge on functional and physical therapeutic intervention. This would in the long run help people who have disabilities of some form.

20 seats are available and candidates have to be a graduate with 50% marks.

In graduate level they got to have the following subjects:

1. Human Biology, Home Science, Zoology, Anthropology and Botany

2. Paramedical sciences and Medical Sciences

Those who do not have the above mentioned subjects in their graduation either have to have an experience of 1 year or an experience of handling a physically handicapped individual. Bachelor degree holders in fields of disability can also apply.

Master's degree holders in Social Work or Child Development can also apply.
