The course operates under the Department of Education and admissions are done on the basis of centralised admission examinations.

The B.El.Ed. Course includes both theory and practical papers. Besides Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Natural Science, the course also includes Social Science, Political Science, History, Geography, Economics, Hindi, and English. The course also imparts knowledge in subjects like Child Development, Cognition and Learning, Environmental Sciences, and Computer Education. The programme includes skill development subjects like Performing Arts, Crafts, Physical Education, and career oriented Tutorials, Project work and School Internship.
