The Delhi Institute of Pharmaceutical Science & Research (DU) offers under-graduate Bachelor Degree and Diploma in Pharmacy, Master Degrees, and also includes a PhD programme. The Bachelor course is of 4 years, the Master courses and D.Pharm of 2 years, and the PhD requires 2 years minimum registration period.

Admission Eligibility:

B.Pharm and D.Pharm

• Candidates must produce 60% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology at the C.B.S.E or I.S.C or any other recognised board examinations (12 year course). OR

• 60% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology in Intermediate Exams.

• Students from Open Schools are not eligible for admission.

• Candidates must be at least 17 years of age or will attain the age within October 1 in the year of admission.

Bachelor of Pharmacy (2nd year)

For admission into B.Pharm 2nd year, candidates have to pass Mathematics, Basic Electronics and Computer Science papers. For direct admission into 2nd year, the above rules apply.

Masters in Pharmacy

Candidates must have passed Bachelor of Pharmacy exams with 50% aggregate marks in theory papers in 2nd, 3rd and 4th years.

• 30% aggregate marks in B.Pharm 2nd, 3rd and 4th year practical papers.

• 20% marks in GATE

A scholarship to a maximum period of 2 years is available.

PhD Programme

Candidates, who have received fellowship from a recognised funding agency, Ministry of Health or private agency, will be given preference.
